The Executives are elected in the Winter term of each year, and take office on May 1.

Executive Action Plan

Each year, the Federation of Students Executive Action Plan outlines goals that your Executive will endeavor to lead throughout their term, aligning with the Feds Long-range Plan Strategic Goals. The efforts of this document are to inspire action and positive organizational change that will increase engagement with students and to continue to serve, empower and represent the undergraduate students at the University of Waterloo.

The President of the Federation of Students is the Chief Executive Officer of the corporation.

The President represents undergraduates to the University administration, Senate, and Board of Governors, and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of student government. The President also provides leadership and supervision to the Federation of Students.

The VP Operations & Finance oversees the financial and administrative aspects of the corporation. This pertains mainly to the annual budgets, human resources and business operations. 

Other responsibilities include ensuring that all employees are 

properly trained and recognized for their amazing work, as well as helping student groups on campus with their budgeting.

The VPIN maintains and improves student life programs for uWaterloo undergraduates by supervising Feds services, uWaterloo's student services and clubs, handling accountability of societies, communicating with colleges and residence councils, overseeing projects and commissions.

The VPIN also represents student issues within Feds to the University and the community, most notably in the area of student funded, University-run student services such as Athletics and Counseling Services.

The VPED helps students with academic and co-op issues, navigates the co-op process, and lobbies university administration and staff to improve academic services on campus.

Further, the VPED lobbies city, provincial and federal governments to help undergraduates access and achieve a quality higher education. Visit the Advocacy section to learn more, and get involved.
