Federation of Students addressing concerns from undergraduates about viral video at Sage II

October 2nd, 2015

The Federation of Students recognizes that undergraduates need a safe, comfortable, residence as their ‘home away from home’ to thrive in university. Many students come to the University of Waterloo from cities across Canada, and around the world. These students need guidance to know their living options and rights as tenants. Feds is always happy to provide information and support. There are student-run services such as Off Campus Community and Co-op Connection for students to reach out to for guidance, information, and support. The VP Education works with all levels of government to ensure student questions and concerns are heard and addressed.

Feds has received concerns from students about the situation at Sage II. It is unacceptable that students weren’t able to move in on the promised date. Student union executives have seen the video circulating on social media, and are gathering facts about the situation. For Feds, the safety of undergraduates is a top priority.
