Fees Arranged Payment Due

August 3 - August 23

What is happening?
The due date to submit your payment or Promissory Note to become Fees Arranged for Fall 2017 term without a late fee is August 23, 2017. If there is a balance on your account prior to the due date, the due date applies.

If you are not Fees Arranged by October 31, you will be unenrolled and lose access to assignments, exams and course material on the online learning system LEARN. If you are a co-op student on a recruiting term, your active applications on WaterlooWorks will also be cancelled.

Note: Laurier students enrolled in courses at uWaterloo and students on a co-op work term who are only enrolled in PD courses do not need to have Fees Arranged status.
What does this mean to me?

To view your bill for Fall 2017, log in to Quest, go to Student Center, then click Finances>Account Inquiry.
There are two ways to become Fees Arranged:

If you do not submit the Promissory Note to become Fees Arranged, your financial aid will not be deducted from your balance owing. This includes your scholarships, bursaries, and awards funding. Also, your government student loan and grant funding will not be released unless you are “Fees Arranged” for the term.

OSAP Students: We do NOT accept OSAP estimates with your Promissory Note.

Fall OSAP amounts will be posted as “Anticipated Aid” on Quest and updated frequently. You must complete a Promissory Note if you want to use your OSAP funding to pay your fees. If your OSAP funding has not yet been posted, you can attach a screenshot of your approved OSAP assessment (not the estimate) to your Promissory Note. Student Awards & Financial Aid recommends that you apply early for OSAP and allow up to 4 weeks for processing. ***New for Fall 2017: Your OSAP funding will be sent directly to the university to pay your fees if you opted in to this service (see the school information section of your OSAP application). Any remaining balance will be deposited in your bank account.

What’s your Net Tuition? If you have an OSAP application, click the “What’s my Net Tuition?” button at the bottom of your fee bill to find out!

  • If you don’t have proof of funding by the due date, you have two options:

    • Pay your fees in full by the due date to avoid late fees; you may wish to ask friends and family to help you out temporarily.

    • Submit your Promissory Note once you have acceptable proof of financial aid or payment of the remaining balance; if this is after the due date, a late fee will be charged to your account.

Notice for exchange/study abroad students coming to Waterloo:
Please refer to your admission documents for specific fee and payment information applicable to your particular situation.
