Off Campus Community
OFF CAMPUS COMMUNITY | MEET YOUR DONS
Off Campus Community is a Feds service for first and upper-year students living off campus. Run entirely by dedicated student volunteers, it organizes a portion of Orientation Week, social and educational events throughout the school year to connect off-campus students.
Dons are upper-year students experienced with off-campus living, and they help you get adjusted to the University and surrounding community.
Dons are a resource for the students: if you have any problems with school, landlords, or anything else at all, they will point you in the right direction.
Meet your dons and find out how awesome they are!
A Message from Your Coordinators
Hey Guys! Hope your term is going well. Allow us to introduce ourselves; our names are Davin Singh and Nawazish (Ozzy) Khan, the coordinators for the 2014-2015 year for Off Campus Community (OCC). We both have been involved with OCC as Dons for the past 3 years. We have worked with a variety of individuals over the past years and wish to continue this in our new roles.
Every year we have 30 great volunteers who put an effort into making the first year experience memorable. During Orientation Week, these individuals are vital to making the transition into university as seamless as possible as well as dissipating any fears that incoming students may have. Over the course of the year, Dons try to maintain a social network while providing a reference to university life.
Dons are responsible for maintaining connections with their first years as well as planning social events for all to attend. We are looking for individuals who feel that they have a strong sense of community and strive to make a difference. We encourage everyone to apply as each individual has their own unique skills and talents that could be of use to the Off Campus Community.
We look forward to seeing your application!
